ALNM 2016 BYO Flyer

from Bedfordshire Youth Opera

After the great success of our 2015 production of Iolanthe, BYO is very excited to announce plans for the 2016 production of Stephen Sondheim’s “A Little Night Music”.

All we need now is YOU!

Singers (Soloists and Chorus) and an Orchestra

Please APPLY NOW if you’d like to audition for our fantastic Youth Opera course this year (closing date is 31 March 2016). We’re very excited to meet this year’s stars.

Auditions: will take place in Bedford, Ampthill and Luton on the following dates…

SATURDAY 16 APRIL 2016 | SATURDAY 23 APRIL 2016
At audition you will be expected to sing one short song of your choice, in English (preferably accompanied – please bring sheet music with you for our accompanist). If possible, a Sondheim song would be very helpful. You may also be asked to read some dialogue. We’re focusing mostly on your performance, as well as your voice.

Please email opera@bedfordshiremusictrust.org.uk to request an audition, stating your preferred date and venue, and we will confirm around 10 days prior to the auditions by email. If it’s impossible for you to attend on either of the dates given, please email to explain, and under exceptional circumstances it may be possible to make alternative arrangements.

Performance Dates: 30 August – 3 September 2016

Venue: The Place Theatre, Bedford
