Bear-faced Bassoonery!
If you play the bassoon – or would like to – this free-admission event is a great opportunity to discover one of the most characterful of all musical instruments. Laurence Perkins will illustrate the wide range of music for the instrument, and there will be a chance to explore the sheer fun and adventure of being a bassoonist.
For non-players this is an opportunity to discover the bassoon for the first time, and for those well into playing, a chance to discuss the ways forward into advanced studies.

Bassoon Voyager
A one-hour concert programme, taking you on a musical journey to inspiring parts of the world, with leading UK bassoon soloist Laurence Perkins.
• The English Lakes at dusk
• A magical island spirit
• A duet with whales
• Latin dance music

• Swiss Alps
